the whole prp process seemed to go very well as from the start of the artefacts i knew what i wanted to do and how i wanted to go about it ... the whole process of my artefacts was to take feedback and use it to develop each artefact and come up with a successful end product

I have started work on my client project for a "rockumentary"and promotional dvd of the band "the fallen" from york www.myspace.com/thefallenyork .
They are a metal band who's following is growing rapidly around the north of England and after talking to them about the possibility of a music video we both decided that it wasn't really enough and that i could do alot more for for both of us by producing a promotional "Rockumentary" that could be handed out at gigs and apperances.

I want to get across the ignorance that young people and students have towards the risks of file sharing.

I want to do this by showin 3 or 4 different people not really knowing much about what could happen if they were caught doing it ...then have some of the more serious consiquences listed out at the end of the advert .

I liked this shot the best as it shows lonliness whilst among alot of other people . the way his head is positioned suggests that something bad has happened due to a decision he may have made .
the whole shot removes him from the world and shows the main focus is on him .

this was my first go on flash i enjoyed it alot and realised i could use it in lots of different ways .
i liked providing options throughout the sequence whilst making it difficult for the user to get to the correct ending .
i had a few problems at first with where the frames were going to change to but after a little help it became common sense of why things had been going wrong.

this was the second attempt as the first was shot too close up and the camera was moving far to much .
this one looks miles better as its is shot from longer and i tried a few different thing to get my subject up the stairs...

this was filmed just as the sun was going down to set a certain mood...plus i think the light twinkling in the background work very well...here it is

Identities

the whole identities module i found fairly hard as going in to the first presentation i did not really have a good idea of what i wanted to do . but after a meeting with jools i decided on what i was going to try and get done.
but mid way through everything i had a family problem at home so lost alot of time with the things i was doing.
everything eventually was sorted and i went in to pleanty of meetings with simon which were very helpful and steered me back on track to eventually get something done.
i then needed a good evaluation to pass the module.

the planned interactive narrative did seem like a good idea taking pictures of tab ends and documenting them down to which areas of nottingham smoke what and if there is a difference .
this did not get finished.
but i believe would have worked really well if completed

was weird i didn't really get what we were suppose to do ?
and i put myself in quite a bad group and all we ended up getting done was the research.
which was a shame really as we had a couple of really good ideas.
E.g nintendo advert(japenese) using people dressed in black to move things round on the set .

this was realy good i really really enjoyed this as i have never done it before it was totally new but i thought it was brilliant.
the whole aspect of designing something then making it move was great. this could be incorparated into lots of audiovisual stuff and could benifit me really well.

i thought everything was talked through pretty well.
i found it hard though (and found myself thinking when am i going to get to film something?)
flash just is not my cup of tea really

learning about the different conflicts in film was good at the beginning of the year as i know i want to continue in the film route.
e.g of different conflicts
-Man vs Man
-Man vs nature(twister)
-Man vs himself(fight club)

Branding wasn't too bad bit boring but probably key in how lots of things are designed.
e.g Mcdonalds logo and Nike swoosh are all subject to different types of branding theme.
and in the end that determins what they are used for.

the audiovisual science lecture was very interesting
learning about how the ear works.
e.g the ear is a defence system and the eye is a survival system.
and the sorts of pain thresholds we have for sound

This guy also does the speedo photographs which i think are stupidly good this is also cool as i am a swimmer... i would love to find out how you get the sort of effects he does on his pictures

this famous stars and straps banner is an idea of the style of design i like... i like the mix of graffiti imaging and normal fonts ... on the actual website WWW.FAMOUSSAS.COM the graffiti images in the background are moving past i think this is very aesteticly pleasing and is one of the very eye catching features of the website.

This item is important to me as its my favourite belt buckle ive had it for years now i think it was 3rd in my collection of 14 "famous stars and straps" buckles

i think it represents me well because its flashy and not to obvious.. i get alot of comments about it from people and it genrally seems to be quite liked ...
i like the way it has been put together with the crystals in the centre and chrome steel round the edges.
The logo used is my personal favourite in the world as it is simple but very effective, it is one of the most recognised symbols in rock music today and is slowly starting to spread to the hiphop world.

i love the how the star has been brought into the design i think it finishes it off very nicely .
